Discover the latest trends shaping kitchen and bathroom design.
The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) is the hub of innovation and inspiration for interior designers, architects, and homeowners alike. We were thrilled to attend KBIS 2024 and discover the latest trends shaping kitchen and bathroom design. From bold colors to innovative materials, here are some of our favorite trends we spotted at this year's event.
Green is undoubtedly having a moment in interior design, KBIS displayed its versatility in kitchen and bathroom spaces. From deep, forest-inspired hues to soft, sage tones, green was everywhere. Whether incorporated through cabinetry, tiles or accents, this refreshing color added a sense of tranquility.
With the rise of home cooking and entertainment, workstation sinks have become a must-have feature in modern kitchens. KBIS exhibitors unveiled a variety of innovative workstation sink designs, complete with integrated cutting boards, colanders, and drying racks. These multifunctional sinks streamline meal prep and cleanup while maximizing countertop space.
Square tiles made a strong statement at KBIS 2024, offering a fresh alternative to traditional subway tiles. Whether matte or glossy, large, or small, square tiles added visual interest and dimension to kitchen backsplashes and shower walls. Their clean lines and geometric appeal complement a range of design styles, from modern to minimalist.

From arches to scallops, curved edges were a favored design feature at KBIS 2024. Seen in cabinetry, countertops, or fixtures, curved edges softened the overall look of kitchens and bathrooms, adding a sense of elegance and sophistication. The organic shapes created a welcoming and balanced environment.

Marble has long been a symbol of luxury in interior design, and KBIS exhibitors highlighted new ways to elevate this timeless material. Heavily veined marble, in striking hues of black, green, and gold made a dramatic impact in both kitchens and bathrooms. Whether used for countertops, backsplashes, or statement walls, bold marble adds instant glamor and sophistication.
Terracotta and caramel tones were showcased at KBIS 2024. Kitchens and bathrooms were infused with a sense of warmth and comfort. These earthy tones created a cozy atmosphere, seen in cabinetry, tiles or accessories. Paired with natural materials, such as wood and stone, warm tones added depth and richness to the spaces.
The classic Shaker style got a modern update at KBIS 2024. With sleeker profiles, minimalist hardware, and innovative finishes, contemporary Shaker cabinets offered a perfect blend of timeless elegance and contemporary flair. Shaker cabinets are a versatile choice for both kitchen and bathroom designs. Whether in crisp white, rich wood tones, or bold colors, these cabinets added warmth and character to the spaces.

Vessel sinks continue to be a popular choice for adding a touch of luxury to bathroom vanities. KBIS exhibitors displayed a wide range of vessel sink designs, from sleek and minimalist to ornate and sculptural. Made of ceramic, glass, or natural stone, vessel sinks added visual interest and personality to the bathroom while offering practical functionality.
From bold wallpaper to intricate tile designs, patterns were everywhere at KBIS 2024, injecting personality and style into kitchens and bathrooms. Inspired by nature, geometry, or abstract art, patterns added visual interest and drama to the spaces. Whether used as an accent or a focal point, patterns allowed for creative expression and customization in home design.
